Our first review!

Monday, January 26th, 2009

FindThatWord was picked up by an Argentinian blogger today, and, if Google’s translation is to believed, he rather likes it.  Despite the language barrier, Ubuntips is a seriously decent blog that’s well worth bookmarking if, like us, you use Ubuntu as your main operating system.

It seems that I’m not the only person who thinks that Ubuntips is worth reading.  The review has sent downloads of our little wordsearch program soaring - 117 on Saturday and another 46 yesterday.  As before, the Ubuntu package is the most popular version by far.

A busy start

FindThatWord got off to a busy start on its first day.  We had 15 downloads yesterday,  almost of which were by Linux users, although the program was only posted late in the day.  I’m guessing that submitting the release to Gnomefiles drove much of that traffic.

FindThatWord has been released

We’ve released the first version of FindThatWord.  This is the first project that we’ve ever published to the world, so it’ll be interesting to see what happens.  How many people will want to use our new software?
